Business Development Manager (Mining Sector)

On behalf of our global clients, Plymtree Careers is looking for a driven and commercially savvy Business Development Manager to join our team in Brisbane, focusing on growth across the mining sector in Eastern Australia. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and delivering workforce solutions, this could be your next move.

✨ About the Role

This role is all about selling manpower/workforce solutions, including project services, EOR, MSP and payrolling, and supporting key clients across the mining industry. You’ll identify new opportunities, build strong partnerships, and drive revenue growth across the region. Experience within mining is highly beneficial, but not essential. We’re looking for someone who can open doors, build trust, and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Identify and win new business opportunities within the mining sector

✅ Sell workforce / staffing solutions across Eastern Australia

✅ Build and maintain strong client relationships

✅ Develop and execute growth strategies for key accounts

✅ Collaborate internally to deliver tailored solutions

✅ Monitor market trends and competitor activity

What We’re Looking For:

☑️ Proven experience in business development or sales

☑️ Strong track record of hitting or exceeding targets

☑️ Background in workforce solutions, recruitment, or services (preferred)

☑️ Mining or industrial sector exposure (advantageous)

☑️ Excellent communication and negotiation skills

☑️ Self-motivated, results-driven mindset
